Terms of Service
Last updated 14 August 2026
These terms cover your use of Homestead. By creating an account or joining a household, you agree to them.
The service
Homestead helps a household organise its calendar, upkeep tasks, budget, meal planning, pantry and shopping lists in one shared place. We may improve, replace or discontinue features over time, and will try to give reasonable notice of material changes that affect households.
Your account and household
- You're responsible for keeping your login (password, or username + PIN) confidential, and for the accuracy of what you and your household enter.
- A household Owner controls membership, roles and permissions for that household, and can remove a member or the whole household at their discretion.
- Don't use Homestead to store or share anything illegal, or to try to access another household's data.
Free access
Homestead is currently free for every household. Every module is included and there is no trial, paid subscription or in-app purchase required to use the service. If that model is reviewed in the future, we will give clear notice and will not introduce a surprise charge or automatic paid renewal.
Content you share publicly
Some features let you deliberately publish content beyond your household — a shared recipe, cookbook, upkeep routine, or calendar event link. Only publish what you're comfortable being visible to anyone with the link, and only content you have the right to share.
Availability and consumer rights
We take reasonable care with backups, availability and security (see our Privacy Policy), but we can't guarantee uninterrupted availability or that data will never be lost, and we recommend not relying on Homestead as your only record of anything critical.
Nothing in these terms excludes, restricts or modifies a guarantee, right or remedy that cannot lawfully be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. Subject to those rights, Homestead is provided without additional warranties and BridgeKit Co.'s liability is limited to the extent permitted by law.
Ending your account
You can delete your account at any time — see Supportfor how. We may suspend or remove an account that violates these terms or is used to abuse the service (e.g. automated signup abuse or attempts to breach another household's data).
Changes
We'll update the date at the top of this page if these terms change materially. Continued use after a change means you accept the updated terms.
